February 20, 2012 - "Cannon Battery"
This was photographed early morning last week at Vicksburg National Military Park. This position included the guns of the 8th Michigan Artillery that fired on the Confederate Great Redoubt directly ahead. At one time as many as 22 Federal artillery pieces where positioned here.
